text of obituary:
MRS. GEORGE LETKEMANN
Mrs. George Letkemann, nee Tiena Elizabeth Wall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Wall, was born in Cavelier [sic Cavalier] County, North Dakota on March 26,1905.
The following year her parents emigrated to Canada and settled near Herbert, Sask. Here she grew up, a very talented, obedient and healthy girl. In her youth she loved swimming and other sports. She completed high school, trained to become a teacher and taught school for more than 13 years.
When she was 14 years old she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, whom she served until the end of her life. She was baptized and accepted as a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church. She was active in the Lord's service as a Sunday school teacher and a much-appreciated pianist. She sang in choirs and also directed her own choir.
She joined with George Letkemann in holy matrimony at Wymark, Sask. where they lived until 1951 when they moved to a farm southwest of Abbotsford, B. C.
Their happy married life was blessed with three healthy daughters, Adeline, now in nurses training at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster; Lorna and Joan, attending Senior High School at Abbotsford, B. C.
Our mother spent much time in prayer. It was her sincerest desire to live for her Savior in whom she put her faith and trust. She was a devoted wife and mother with a spiritual concern for her family.
During her illness she often expressed a desire to get better, but the last Sunday she said to her family that she was going Home and that she would meet them in Heaven.
On August 22, 1957, at 10:20 a. m. while she was in the M. S. A. Hospital, her Savior called her to be with Him in Glory. She reached the age of 52 years, four months and 27 days.
She leaves to mourn her early departure, her bereaved husband, three daughters, parents, two brothers, two sisters, and many friends. — The Bereaved Family.
