Our beloved wife and Mother, Katie Harder Letkeman [''sic'' Letkemann], was born to John and Agnetha Willems Harder on Jan. 15, 1886 in Butler County, Kansas. Here she spent her early childhood years. She received her grade school education in Reno County, Kansas.

In her youth she acknowledged her lost condition and accepted, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. Upon confession of her faith she was baptized on Sept. 17, 1904 by Elder Abraham Schellenberg and accepted into the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church. With the exception of two years, 1906-1908, when we resided in Hooker, Okla., she remained a faithful member here in Buhler until her homegoing.

She was united in marriage to Frank H. Letkeman on March 15, 1906 in the Ebenezer Mennonite Brethren Church by Elder Abraham Schellenberrg. Soon after our marriage we moved to Hooker, Okla. where we resided for two years. In 1908 we moved back to Buhler and resided in or near Buhler since that time. We enjoyed our companionship for nearly 57 years. To this union were born two sons: Frank and Joelle, and two daughters, Martha and Delores.

Throughout her life mother enjoyed excellent health. In the late afternoon on Jan. 15, her birthday, she suffered a cerebral hemmorrhage [''sic''] in the home. After medical help had been sought she was moved to Grace Hospital, Hutchinson, where she peacefully fell asleep to be with her Lord on the morning of Jan. 16, 1963. She attained the age of 77 years.

She leaves to mourn her widower, Frank H. Letkeman [''sic'' Letkemann]; two sons, Frank of Portland, Oregon, Joelle and Alyce Letkeman [''sic'' Letkemann] of Camarilla, Calif.; two daughters, Martha and Laurence Seyb of Johnson, Kansas, and Delores and John Kohler, White City, Kansas; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Martens of Burlington, Kansas, Mrs. C. N. Hiebert of Buhler, and Miss Elizabeth Dick, Buhler; one brother, Herman Dick, Buhler. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a dear, loving wife and mother, a careful housekeeper and family caretaker. Her faithfulness to her Lord and the Church was a challenge to all. She was a charter member of the Tabitha Sisters Sewing Circle and a member of the local YWCA. &#8212; Frank H. Letkeman [''sic'' Letkemann] and Family.

GRANDMOTHER DIES AT BUHLER, KAN

Buhler, Kan. — Mrs. Katie Letkeman, 77, long-time resident here, died at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson on Jan. 16 after suffering a stroke of paralysis the day before.

She was the wife of Frank Letkeman, well-known retired business man here. Other survivors include two sons, two daughters, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Letkeman was a member of the Buhler M. B. Church, where the funeral services were conducted on Saturday.
