Car-Buggy Crash Takes Life of Young Mother

Grabill, Ind. — An early-evening car-buggy crash took another life on the Indiana highways Thursday, Dec. 14, when Mrs. Mary Lengacher, a young Amish mother, was killed as a car hit the buggy in which she and her family were riding.

Lynn E. Bute, 20, driver of the car, said he did not see the lights on the buggy in time.

Mrs. Lengacher was 30 years old.
