Retired Mail Carrier Died

Berne, Ind.—Simeon F. Lehman, 79, who carried mail on a rural route out of Berne for many years, died at his home here Nov. 26. Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite church on Nov 28, Rev. O. A. Krehbiel and Rev. C. A. Schmidt officiating.

Mr. Lehman began his mail delivery work in the horse and buggy days, when mud and snow often made traveling hazardous. He retired in 1934 after 32 years of service.

A native of Wayne county, Ohio, he leaves his wife, five children and four grandchildren.
