RETIRED FARMER, 83, CALLED BY DEATH
Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services were held at the Yellow Creek Brick church Feb. 3 for Jesse Lehman, well known retired farmer of the Wakarusa community. He died at the Goshen hospital Feb. 1 at the age of 83.
His wife, the former Catherine Davidhizer, and a daughter Barbara preceded him in death. Surviving are two sisters and one brother.

JESSE LEHMAN
Jesse Lehman, 84-year-old retired farmer who lived southeast of Wakarusa, Ind., died Monday, Feb. 1, in the Goshen hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. Death was due to complications.
He was born March 2, 1870, in Williams county, Ohio, the son of Abraham and Elizabeth (Christophel) Lehman. He was married to Catherine Davidhizar in 1900. His wife, a daughter Barbara, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Leah Bechtel of Wakarusa and Mrs. Fannie Pocock of Angola, and a brother, Daniel Lehman of Bryan, Ohio.
Services were held on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at the Henry Bechtel residence at 1:00 p.m. and at 1:30 p.m. in the Yellow Creek Mennonite church. David Yoder and Francis Freed officiated. Burial was made in the Yellow Creek cemetery.
