WELL-KNOWN BERNE, IND. WOMAN CALLED AT AGE 87

Berne, Ind. — Mrs. Elizabeth J. Lehman, who lived in this community throughout her 87 years, died Sept. 29 after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Oct. 1, at the First Mennonite church.

Mrs. Lehman, the last of a family of 16 children, was the widow of J. F. Lehman, former banker here and a leader in the business and church life of the community. The surviving children are Mrs. M. M. Baumgartner of Berne, Prof. G. A. Lehman of Rochester, N. Y., C. A. Lehman of Chicago, Mrs. William Albrecht of Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. G. F. Hogg of Des Moines, Iowa.
