Kalona, Iowa. — Daniel S. Horst, 77, a resident of the Pleasantview Home here for four years, died recently in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
A native of the Hagerstown, Md. area, Mr. Horst worked as a farm hand in Kansas and Colorado for many years. His wife, the former Anna Brenneman, preceded him in death in February of this year.
Rev. Morris Swartzendruber officiated at the funeral service held April 19 in the Upper Deer Creek Mennonite Church near here.
