Bird-in-hand, Pa. — Jacob K. Lapp, 68, bishop in the Old Order Amish church at this place, died unexpectedly at his home Aug. 25 shortly after retiring for the night. Death was believed due to a heart attack.
He was ordained to the ministry in 1924 and to the office of bishop in 1940. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
