Bride of Three Weeks Dies in Yellowstone Park Collision
Newton, Ontario. — A head-on crash in Yellowstone National Park, Montana on July 31 claimed the life of Mrs. Ellard Lange, 23, a bride of three weeks. Her husband, to whom she was married here July 8, was hospitalized with injuries.
Mrs. Lange was the former Catherine Rose Gerber, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob J. Gerber of rural Newton. Surviving besides her parents are her grandmothers, Mrs. Kathie Leis of rural Milverton, and two children from Mr. Lange's first marriage.
Rev. Herbert Schultz of the Poole Mennonite Church conducted the funeral services at the home of her parents on Aug. 6, followed by a memorial service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Stratford, and burial at Poole Mennonite Cemetery.
