— Mrs. John Landes [Landis], 87, former resident of Halstead, died Feb. 1 at Wadley, Alabama where she had been making her home with a son, Rev. Carl Landes [Landis] and family. The body was returned here and funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the First Mennonite church of Halstead, Rev. Roland Goering in charge. A native of Germany, Mrs. Landes [Landis] spent most of her married life at Lucien, Okla. Surviving in addition to Rev. Landes are five other sons.
