● Noah E. Landis, 94, of Hesston, died Aug. 23 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. Graveside services were held Aug. 25 at Eastlawn Cemetery near Hesston, followed by a memorial service at the Hesston Mennonite Church, with Paul Friesen and Wesley Jantz officiating. Landis was a retired Mennonite minister and a former Minnesota resident. Surviving are his wife, the former Katie Gascho; three sons, Elmer of Jackson, Minn., Eldon of Las Cruces, N.M., and Fred of Aldrich, Minn.; three daughters, Berniece Nafziger of Minneapolis, Minn., Bonita Driver of Elkhart, Ind., and Vivian Murray of Lockport, N.Y.; three half-brothers, Floyd, Louis and Vernon, all of Oregon; one half-sister, Mary Landis of Oregon; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His first wife, the former Ethel Garber, preceded him in death in 1963.
