— Word was received at Pandora, Ohio of the death of Dr. A. T. Lambie, well-known missionary-doctor, at Bethlehem, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on April 14. Dr. Lambie, who served in Palestine for many years, had in recent years founded a hospital where MCC personnel gave assistance. He is survived by his wife, the former Irma Schneck of Pandora.

Services Held For Dr. Lambie

Kidron, Ohio. — Funeral services were held at Bethlehem, Jordan on April 14 for Dr. Thomas A. Lambie, 69, medical missionary in the Middle East for over 40 years.

Relatives of Mrs. Lambie, the former Irma Schneck, R.N. of Pandora, received word of Dr. Lambie's passing, which occurred on April 14. During the past nine years Dr. and Mrs. Lambie had built the Baraka T. B. Sanitarium at Bethlehem to aid the Arabs. They had cooperated with MCC workers in Jordan.

Before gong to Jordan, Dr. Lambie had served for many years in Ethiopia. At the request of Emperor Haile Selassie he built a large hospital in Addis Ababa, and later served as the emperor's personal physician. He was the author of five books and was writing a sixth at the time of his death.
