Heart Attack Fatal To Amish Bishop

Belleville. Pa. — Funeral services took place here on Aug. 14 for Bishop Enos J. Kurtz, 61, whose sudden death of a heart attack occurred on Friday afternoon, Aug. 11, while he was at work in the implement shed at his farm home. The body was found by members of the family.

A large number of friends and relatives, including a number from other states, attended the last rites, which were in charge of bishops Clarence Lengacher, Seth Byler and Tobe Hostetler.

Bishop Kurtz leaves his wife, Mary, six daughters, three sons, and one brother, Henry Kurtz of Norfolk, Va.
