BURNS PROVE FATAL TO AMISH MOTHER AT ELKHART HOSPITAL

Nappanee, Ind. — Burns suffered two weeks earlier in an explosion at her farm home proved fatal on May 30 to Mrs. Mary Ellen Kuhns, 27, wife of Eli Kuhns and mother of two small sons. Death came at the Elkhart General Hospital where she had been a patient since the accident.

Mrs. Kuhns was attempting to light a water heater in the basement when there was an explosion, setting her clothing on fire.
