HARVEY J. KUEPFER
Harvey Kuepfer, the oldest son of Jacob and Tinna Peters Kuepfer, was born on March 1, 1896 in Washington Township, Gratiot County, Mich. He departed this life Aug. 18, 1962 at his summer home in Harrison, Mich.
During the First World War he enlisted at Grand Rapids, Mich. After the war he came to Lansing and married Alta C. Laycock on Aug. 22, 1923. He was employed at the Lansing Post Office for 22 years. He retired Nov. 1, 1958 and spent the past four winters at Fort Pierce, Florida.
Born to this union were six children. Twin sons passed on early in life. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Harold, Donald, and Alan, and one daughter, Margaret McNutt, of Lansing; 12 grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Leon Kuepfer, Anna Hibner and Amanda Leatherman of Ithaca, Leo Kuepfer and Emma Holdeman of Harrison.
Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at the Methodist Church in Fulton center, Rev. Harold Messer in charge.
