Construction Worker Fatally Injured in Fall from Scaffold
Archbold, Ohio. — A 15-foot fall from a scaffolding at the new Fore Craft building here on Jan. 3 claimed the life of Hans Guenter Krueger, 36, father of three children.
Mr. Krueger, a bricklayer and partner with his brother, Kurt, in Krueger Bros. Construction, was working near the ceiling of the plant when he fell to the floor, inflicting a fatal head injury. There were no witnesses to the accident. He died while being rushed to the hospital by the Archbold Rescue Squad.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Evangelical Mennonite Church here, with Rev. Charles L. Zimmerman officiating.
Mr. Krueger came here from Germany in 1967. He leaves his widow, Gerda, two daughters and one son, all of the home near Stryker; his brother, of Archbold; and his parents and a married sister, all of Bechterdissen, Germany.
