Father of College Administrators Dies

Goshen, Ind. — Lloyd S. Kreider, 84, father of two Goshen College administrators, died March 13 at the Goshen Hospital. A resident of Greencroft Manor, he had been ill since November 1968.

Among four surviving sons are Dr. Carl Kreider, academic dean of Goshen College, and J. Robert Kreider, director of college relations. Other surviving children are Dr. Leonard Kreider of Lombard, Ill., and Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Heatwole of Charlottesville, Va. There are 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A resident of Wadsworth, Ohio most of his life, Mr. Kreider was secretary-treasurer and a member of the board of the Citizens Bank of Wadsworth from 1933 until his retirement in 1959. He was active in civic affairs and also in the Bethel Mennonite Church of Wadsworth.

Memorial services were held at the Seminary Chapel at Goshen College on March 15, after which the body was taken to Wadsworth for final services Monday forenoon at the Bethel Church.
