She was born in 1878, near Avoca, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Caroline Jansen. In 1899 she married John Krehbiel. Four children were born to this union, two of them preceding her in death. She is now survived by two daughters, Mrs. Susan Baumgart and Mrs. Helen Peterson.
