A native of Summerfield, ll., [''sic.''] Mr. Krehbiel moved his retail mercantile business from St. Louis Mo. to Reedley in 1908. A few years later he was named cashier of the First National Bank here. Later he devoted his time to ranching interests, and served for many years on the advisory board of the Bank of America, Reedley Branch.

He served as a member of the Raisin Control Board, on the board of Reedley High School and College, member and chairman of the board of Reedley Hospital, which he helped organize, and long-time board member of Kings View Hospital, serving on the building committee.

He also helped organize the Mennonite Aid Plan of the Pacific District and served on the board, and held places of leadership at the First Mennonite Church.

Surviving are his widow, two daughters, four grandchildren, and one sister, Clara S. Krehbiel of Reedley.

Pioneer Businessman Dies at Reedley

Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services for Daniel C. Krehbiel, 95, pioneer businessman here and long a community leader, were conducted Sept. 2 at the First Mennonite Church. He died Aug. 30 at Kingsburg.

A native of Summerfield, ll., [sic.] Mr. Krehbiel moved his retail mercantile business from St. Louis Mo. to Reedley in 1908. A few years later he was named cashier of the First National Bank here. Later he devoted his time to ranching interests, and served for many years on the advisory board of the Bank of America, Reedley Branch.
