MRS. ROSA KREHBIEL

Rosa Graber was born Jan. 21, 1887 at Murdock, Kan. to Peter D. and Marie Krehbiel Graber. She died on Feb. 29, 1972 at the Halstead Hospital at the age of 85 years.

At the age of 15, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith by Rev. J. J. Flickinger and became a member of the First Mennonite Church of Pretty Prairie, Kan. where she remained a faithful member until she was called to her heavenly reward.

On June 6, 1905, she was married to Peter J. Krehbiel. To this union 10 children were born, of whom three died in infancy. Preceding her in death were Clarence, age 24, in 1947 and her husband in 1958.

Survivors include Herman A., Harvey D., Fred A., Elmer O., and Joe H., all of Pretty Prairie, Edwin V. of Provo, Utah; three stepchildren, John P. and Irvin P. of Pretty Prairie and Mrs. Edna Flickner of Kingman; eight daughters-in-law; 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren [sic]; one half-sister, Mrs. Dave Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie; four half-brothers, Ed Graber and Albert Graber of Arlington, Kan., Harvey Graber of Kingman, Kan. and Harold Graber of Hutchinson; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. John C. Graber, Mrs. Chris P. Graber and Mrs. Herman D. Graber, all of Pretty Prairie.

The last three years of her life were spent at the Prairie Sunset Home. She endeared herself to the hearts of the residents and staff with her uncomplaining ways. Many other friends also will miss here but now rejoice that she was gone to that "better home" her Lord promised to prepare.
