MRS. MARGARET KREHBIEL

Mrs. Margaret Krehbiel, daughter of Jacob A. and Margaret Pankratz, was born on the family farm near Hydro, Okla. on Dec. 27, 1902, and went to rest in Weatherford, Okla. on Nov. 8, 1971 at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 11 days.

Mrs. Krehbiel grew to womanhood near Hydro. Upon her confession of faith in Jesus Christ she was baptized and received as a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church of Hydro. She resided in various parts of Oklahoma and Kansas and worked in homes.

She was united in marriage to Valentine C. Krehbiel in Hydro on March 6, 1924. After their marriage they made their home at Geary, Okla., where they farmed for a year. They then moved to Upland, Calif, residing there until 1930 when they moved to a farm southeast of Hydro.

During her lifetime she enjoyed various activities in the local Mennonite church, attending many conferences and conventions throughout the United States, with the highlight being a trip to Europe to attend the World Conference in Amsterdam in 1967. She had a great love for the church and was an active, faithful member, and was also active in other community activities, in which she made many lifetime friends. In her later years her greatest joy came from her grandchildren.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of the home; two sons, Elmer V., his wife Elva and children Elaina and Edwin of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Wayne, his wife Fern and children, Randy and Jeff; a daughter, Valeta, her husband Larry and children, Monte and Chris Lee, all of Hydro; four brothers, Herman Pankratz of Kanorado, Kan., Edward Pankratz of Hinton, Jacob J. Pankratz of Hydro, and Alex J. Pankratz of Van Nuys, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Janzen of Dallas, Ore., Martha Entz of Hinton, and Helen Derkson of Dallas, Oregon; many friends and relatives. — The Family.
