text of obituary:

ELIZABETH B. KREHBIEL was born in Lee County, Iowa on March 25, 1860. Soon after her birth her parents moved to Summerfield, Illinois. Here, at the age of 14, she joined the Mennonite Church by baptism on confession of faith.

In 1887 she went to Halstead, Kansas, where she lived for two years when she returned to Illinois. In the fall of 1907 she came to Reedley, California and soon united with the First Mennonite Church in which she remained a faithful member to the end of her life.

A month ago she became seriously ill and was taken to the hospital where she suffered much pain which she bore patiently. Relief came to her Thursday morning, at four o'clock, when she passed to her reward at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 22 days.

She lived a long and useful life. She was kind and considerate to all. She will be sadly missed by her two brothers and her two sisters, and many friends. But they sorrow not as such who have no hope.

Funeral text: Psalm 116:12-10.
