— Mrs. Peter O. Krehbiel, 57, of Route 2 McPherson died at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital here late Tuesday evening, March 6, after having been admitted to the hospital earlier the same day. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Eden Mennonite Church near Moundridge. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Orlo Goering of Moundridge, and one son, Gilmer of McPherson; her aged mother of Moundridge; four sisters and nine brothers. A sister, Mrs. John E. Kaufman, resides at North Newton.

MRS. ANNA F. KREHBIEL

Anna F. Goering Krehbiel, daughter of John J. and Freni Schrag Goering, was born on March 4, 1898, on a farm Moundridge, Kansas. Here she spent her childhood and received her elementary and religious training. She was baptized on the confession of her faith in Jesus as her personal Saviour by Rev. C. J. Goering, on Oct. 8, 1912, and became a member of the Eden Mennonite Church where she remained a faithful member until her death.

On Sept. 16,1917, she was united in marriage to Peter O. Krehbiel with whom she shared life's joys and sorrows for nearly 39 years. This union was blessed with four children, one son and three daughters. Two daughters in infancy preceded her in death.

Although she had not been in the best of health for a number of years, her health began to fail in the last few months. Although the best of medical care was given, she entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening, March 6, 1956, at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital, at the age of 58 years and two days.

Surviving members include her devoted husband and two children; Gilmer and his wife, Verna, Helen Goering and husband, Orlo; six grandchildren, who were a source of many happy hours for her; her step-mother, four sisters, nine brothers, 15 sisters-in-law, nine brothers-in-law, and many friends.

Her devotion as a wife and mother proved a source of inspiration and she expressed constant concern for the spiritual welfare of all. She greatly valued the many virtues which were revealed to her in the hospital room, a familiar scene in her life.

The memorial service was conducted by Rev. Peter J. Dyck and Rev. Phillip A. Wedel, Friday, March 9,1956, at two o'clock from the Eden Mennonite church. Music was given by a mixed ensemble and Eden Men's chorus, Mrs. Erwin Goering at the organ.
