LIFE-LONG RESIDENT AT DONNELLSON, IA., PASSED AWAY LAST WEEK
Donnellson, Ia. — Joseph Krebill, 79, lifelong resident of Lee County and prominent citizen of this vicinity died suddenly Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, at his home northeast of Donnellson following a heart attack.
He was a member of the Lee County farm bureau, had served as Franklin Township trustee several terms and served 24 years as director of the Franklin school district.
Mr. Krebill was a member of Zion Mennonite church and was active in the work of the church.
Respected by all who knew him, Joe Krebill's death came as a shock to the community as a whole.
He is survived by four sons and five daughters, 24 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister. he was preceded in death by his wife in 1920, a married daughter in 1924 and two infant children.
Funeral services were held at the Zion Mennonite church Friday afternoon, conducted by rev. A. Friesen. — Donnellson Review.
