ARNOLD E. KRAUSE

Arnold E. Krause was born in Washita County, Oklahoma on May 12, 1905, to Jacob and Lizzie (Hinz) Krause. He lived in this county all his life except for five years when the family made their home in Montana.

On Dec. 26, 1925, Arnold was married to Helen Hinz, with whom he shared joys and sorrows for over 48 years. theirs was a happy home, and he was a wonderful father to his children. Later as the grandchildren grew up, he took great pride in them and their accomplishments.

Arnold was baptized on Feb. 28, 1937, by Elder P. H. Unruh and received into the Bergthal Mennonite Church, where he remained an active and faithful member the rest of his life. He had a deep interest in and an abiding concern for the work of the Church. He was a keen student of world affairs, and constantly compared current events with the prophecies of Scripture, often remarking, "The Lord is coming soon."

Arnold engaged in various types of work, and in 1960 became the postmaster of Corn, Okla., which position he held until th [sic] time of his passing. He had a ready reply and a cheery good humor that will be sorely missed. He had been in fair health, but was suddenly called home on April 13. He attained the age of 68 years.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
