ERICA KRAHN

Erica Krahn of Winnipeg passed away suddenly Apr. 22. She was born Feb. 16, 1927 to Nikolai and Helene Peters in Omsk, USSR. When she was 3, the family immigrated to Canada. Two years later, they settled in North Kildonan (now part of Winnipeg), where she lived the rest of her life. She attended MB Collegiate Institute. She was baptized and joined the MB church. She married Henry Krahn in 1949. They experienced much joy. She made a loving home for her family and was the centre of family gatherings. She was devoted to her grandchildren and always made time for them. She enjoyed the fellowship of McIvor Ave. MB Church and was involved in the ladies' fellowship and ladies' choir. She had been active in Pioneer Girls, the church decorating committee and mission projects. She is remembered as a loving person of generous spirit, one who was devoted in her faith and personified Christ's love. She is mourned by her husband; sons Paul of South Junction, Man. and Randy of Winnipeg; daughter Lorraine of Winnipeg; 2 grandchildren and brother. The funeral was Apr. 25 in McIvor Ave. MB Church, with Allan Labun ministering.
