Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at the East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, Lancaster, with burial at the Elizabethtown Mennonite cemetery.

Bro. Krady was ordained to the ministry on Sept. 25, 1932 at the Vine Street Mennonite Church here. He was ordained bishop in 1937 at the New Danville Mennonite Church.

He lived in the Willow Street community for some years and was employed as a seed salesman for P. L Rohrer and Bro., Smoketown, prior to moving to Philadelphia nine years ago. In Philadelphia he was pastor of the Oxford Circle Mennonite Church and of the Messianic Fellowship Center.

Bishop of Lancaster Conference Dies In Philadelphia

Lancaster, Pa. — D. Stoner Krady, well known bishop of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference, formerly of Lancaster, died early Friday morning, Nov. 25, in the Tri-County Osteopathic Hospital, Media, Pa.

Bishop Krady had preached two sermons on Thanksgiving Day at Good's Mennonite Church, Bainbridge, and then returned to his home in Philadelphia. That evening he became ill and was taken to the hospital.

Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at the East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, Lancaster, with burial at the Elizabethtown Mennonite cemetery.
