MRS. MARIE KORNELSON

Maria Kornelson, nee Rempel, was born August 26, 1903 in Neupluoff, southern Russia to Henry and Maria Rempel, nee Wieler. A few years later they moved to Orloff, Siberia, where Maria enjoyed her youth and accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. On the confession of her faith she was baptized and accepted into the fellowship of the Mennonite Brethren Church. Joyfully and diligently she served the Lord in Sunday school, and remained faithful to him.

On March 4, 1923 she was united in marriage with Henry Boschman. In 1926 they emigrated to Canada and settled first in Manitoba, then Coaldale, Alberta and finally in Chilliwack, B.C. on a farm.

Here she resided with her husband until his death on Dec. 5, 1964, after 41 years of married life together. The Lord blessed them with three children, all living in B.C.-a daughter Anne (Mrs. Bill) Dyck, a son, Henry and wife Margarate in Chilliwack, and a daughter Mary, (Mrs. Ben) Dyck, also in Chilliwack, and eight grandchildren.

As a widow, she lived in Chilliwack and worked at a nursing home. On August 20, 1966 she entered into her second IIiarriage with Peter Kornelson, also accepting four children and grandchildren to whom she was a loving, praying, caring mother and grandmother-sons: Don and Elizabeth of Winni· peg, Mervin and Mary of Chilliwack, Ray and Susan of Ontario; a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Dave) Esau of Delta, B.C. and 13 grandchildren.

She was well and happy most of her life, working cheerfully on the farm. She was active in the Lord's work, in church ladies groups , and sewing to support mission work.

On February 28 she was taken into the presence of her beloved Saviour, at age 71. She often thought of the wonderful home which the Lord prepared. Her last wish was to meet all her loved ones at Jesus' feet.

She is survived by her loving husband, seven children, 21 grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
