REV. PETER J. KORNELSON

Rev. Peter J. Kornelson, aged 88 years, of 904 McDermot Ave Winnipeg, went to be with the Lord on October 6. Rev. Kornelson was born June 19, 1881 in a small village Slavgorod, Russia. In July, 1924 he and his family emigrated to Canada. He was ordained to the ministry in 1919 after which he went abroad to attend a theological seminary in BerHn, Germany for one year, He was pastor of the South End Mennonite Brethren Church of Winnipeg for about 20 years, and served his church until his death.

He was predeceased by his wife in 1958 and one infant daughter, Helen. Rev. Kornelson leaves to mourn his only daughter, Mary, at home, and many relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 8 at the Central Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Jacob Suderman officiating.
