MRS. SELMA KONRAD

(Mrs.) Selma Konrad of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away on October 12. She was born on April 20, 1908 to Isaac and Anne Wiebe in Wohldemfurst (Welikonageski), southern Russia. Her family moved to Mexico in 1924; in 1925 under the ministry of Rev. John Siemens she received Christ as her personal Saviour, and was baptized and joined the MB church in Rosario; the family moved to Canada in 1926, and in 1927 bought a farm in Manitou, Man.; she married Jacob Konrad on June 6, 1931; they farmed in Manitou until retiring to Clearbrook in 1969. The first of several strokes happened to her in 1977. She is survived by her husband Jacob; two daughters: Anne (Mrs. Robert Loewen), Nanaimo, B.C., Kae (Mrs. David Penner), and one son, George and wife Carolyn, both of Manitou; eight grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
