GERALD L. KOLB

Gerald Lynn Kolb, 38, of Souderton, Pa., died Aug. 11, 2000, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident in Franconia Township.

He was the husband of Sharla Renee (Young) Kolb. The couple had been married for nine years. Formerly of Spring City, he lived in Souderton since 1991.

Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of Gladys H. (Souder) Kolb of Souderton and the late Irvin G. Kolb. He graduated from Christopher Dock Mennonite High School in Lansdale in 1980.

Employed as a truck driver for most of his life, he worked for the former Mast Contractors of Harleysville for 13 years.

He was an active member of New Covenant Brethren in Christ Church in Quakertown. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and belonged to Great Swamp Sportsman Club in Quakertown.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Emily B. Kolb, at home; twin sisters, Doris Kolb of Lancaster and Dorothy Harnish and her husband Paul M. of Warrington; four brothers, Elvin and his wife Ruth of Parkerford, Lester and his wife Sandy of Poulsbo, Wash., Richard of Fleetwood and Ernest and his wife Nancy of Souderton.

He was preceded in death by two infant brothers and an infant sister.

Services were held at Towamencin Mennonite Church, Kulpsville. Burial was in the church cemetery.
