GC Pastor Dies in Kansas at Age 63
Goessel, Kan. — Levi Koehn, who pastored General Conference churches in three states, died Oct. 1 at Newton at the age of 63.
Following graduation from Mennonite Biblical Seminary, he served at Turpin, Okla. 1951-60, at Goessel 1960-68, at Freeman, S. D. 1968-76 and at Inola, Okla. 1976-82. He had lived at Goessel since 1982.
He was active in promoting district and General Conference programs, serving on the Western District home missions committee and as a director of Camp Mennoscah.
Services took place Oct. 4 at the Goessel Mennonite Church and Oct. 5 at the New Hopedale Mennonite Church, Meno, Okla.
Koehn was married to the former Lillian Ratzlaff, who died in 1980. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon, of Newton.

Levi Koehn, longtime General Conference pastor, died Oct. 1 at the age of 63. Born march 22, 1920, he married Lillian Ratzlaff in 1945. He graduated from Bethel college, North newton, Kan., in 1949 and attended Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Chicago. Upon graduation, he served as pastor during the next three decades at Turpin (Okla.) Church, 1951-60; Goessel (Kan.) Church, 1960-68; Bethany Church, Freeman, S.D., 1968-76; and Eden Church, Inola, Okla., 1976-82. He retired to Goessel a year ago. Services were held Oct. 4 at Goessel Church and Oct. 5 at New Hopedale Church, Meno, Okla.
