Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here Aug. 20 for Marlan J. Kliewer, 30, who was fatally injured when struck by an auto on the highway north of Madera Aug. 17.

The accident occurred early in the morning after Kliewer and a companion had stopped their truck along the highway due to motor trouble. He died almost instantly when struck by a passing motorist.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Sharon and Sandra; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob A. Kliewer, and three sisters.

REEDLEY FATHER OF TWO KILLED IN HIGHWAY ACCIDENT

Reedley, Calif. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here Aug. 20 for Marlan J. Kliewer, 30, who was fatally injured when struck by an auto on the highway north of Madera Aug. 17.

The accident occurred early in the morning after Kliewer and a companion had stopped their truck along the highway due to motor trouble. He died almost instantly when struck by a passing motorist.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Sharon and Sandra; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob A. Kliewer, and three sisters.
