| + | Cornelius C. Kliewer, son of C. J. and Agnes (Huebert) Kliewer, was born on Dec. 6, 1902, in Henderson, Neb. After attending public school in Henderson, at the age of 15 years he moved with his parental family to Saskatchewan, Canada. There he enjoyed his teenage years which he often referred to as some of the happiest years of his life. When he became 21 years of age he again returned to Henderson, where he married and made his home. |

| + | He was baptized upon confession of his faith by Rev. John F. Epp on June 1, 1925, and joined the Bethesda Mennonite Church where he maintained his membership until his death. Exactly four months after his baptism, on Oct. 1, 1925, he was married to Marie Dick. This union was blessed with one son. |

| + | He offered himself and his services by doing custodial work in the Henderson Grade and High school, the Henderson Hospital, and finally he became the chief custodian at Bethel College, North Newton, Kan. His work was always hard, but he did little complaining. |
