Nebraska Youth Dies In Motorcycle Crash
Henderson, Neb. — A motorcycle-truck collision south of Hampton on Aug. 18 claimed the life of 15-year-old John G. Kliewer of rural Hampton and critically injured his companion, Gary Friesen, 11.
The two boys were riding on the motorcycle when it was hit by a two-ton truck driven by Jacob B. Goertzen. It was reported that the accident occurred at an intersection of country gravel roads where there are no stop signs.
John Kliewer leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kliewer, a twin brother and sister 14 years of age, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Kliewer of Henderson and Mrs. Elizabeth Epp of Shafter, Calif.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Mennonite Brethren Church here.
The Friesen youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darold Friesen, also of rural Hampton, suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries.
