• Funeral services for Edward F. Kliewer, 82, a resident here most of his life, were conducted Tuesday morning at the Peterson Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Fred Spinder of the First Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Kliewer died Dec. 27 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital after having received care for some time at the Peabody Memorial Nursing Home. He was a native of Harvey County and was employed for 31 years at Consolidated Mills. He married Emma Stahl at Drake, Sask. in 1915. She survives, with two daughters, Mrs. Forrest Miller of Casper, Wyo, and Mrs. Paul Higgins of Hays; a son, Roland F., serving with the Air Force in Thailand; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Kliewer was a member of the Grace Hill Mennonite Church, rural Newton.
