Son of Well-Known Baptist Leader Killed

Lansdale, Pa. — Twenty-nine-year-old Andris Klaupiks, son of Rev. Adolf Klaupiks of Route 4, Quakertown, died of a broken neck after being thrown from his motorcycle several miles east of Lansdale on Sunday, June 28.

Rev. Klaupiks is well known among Mennonites as the interpreter who accompanied Russian Baptist groups on their visits to Mennonite communities in the United States, and who accompanied Mennonite delegations on their visits to Russia.
