Invalid Youth Dies At Mountain Lake

Mountain Lake, Minn. — Funeral services for 17-year-old Kornelius Klassen Jr. were conducted Dec. 9 at the Bethel Mennonite Church here.

The young man, son of Kornelius and Olga Molodyka Klassen, had been an invalid since birth due to muscular dystrophy. Although confined to a wheel chair, he had attended school here and the crippled children's school in Worthington. The past year he took studies from the public school here by means of a special telephone hook-up.

He had been baptized and received as a member of the Bethel Church in May 1966. A cold infection was the immediate cause of death.

Surviving in addition to the parents are one brother and two sisters, a grandmother living in Australia, and a grandfather in Russia.
