PIONEER IN NORTHERN ONTARIO SETTLEMENT DIES AT KITCHENER

Kitchener, Ontario. — One of the older members of the Kitchener M. B. congregation, Henry J. Klassen of Ancaster, Ontario, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Hamilton General hospital following an operation.

Mr. Klassen was born in Grosswiede, Russia and came to Canada in 1925. He was one of the pioneers in the Northern Ontario settlement at Reesor, and moved to Ancaster in 1946, but had been of poor health since then.

The service was conducted in his home church, with Rev. Jacob J. Toews, pastor, in charge. A group of older members of the congregation brought the special music.
