Morden, Manitoba. — A two-car crash on Highway 3 near Carman claimed the lives of Lawrence M. Klassen, 32, and his wife Harriet, 31, of Charleswood, Man., leaving their two children orphans.

The children, five-year-old Jennifer and two-year-old Wade, were taken to Children's Hospital in Winnipeg with serious injuries. They were later reported somewhat improved.

Double funeral services for the couple the evening of Feb. 17 at the Charleswood Mennonite Church in Winnipeg, with Rev. Ronald Hunsicker officiating. Final services and burial took place the following day at the Winkler M. B. Church.

The Klassen family was traveling to Winkler when their small foreign car was hit broadside by another auto at an intersection. The two persons in the other car were injured.

Mr. Klassen was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter F. Klassen of Steinbach. His wife was the former Harriet Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac J. Brown of Winkler.
