STELLA KIRCHHOFER

Miss Stella Kirchhofer was born on May 19, 1898, at Dalton, Ohio and died Jan. 14, 1971 at St. Luke's Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. She was a daughter of Daniel and Rose (Baumgartner) Kirchhofer.

She was baptized and received into the fellowship of the Salem Mennonite Church at Dalton on June 22, 1913.

In 1935 she moved to Bluffton, Ohio to live with her sister. She transferred her church membership to the First Mennonite Church of Bluffton, where she was a member until her death.

She had resided in Toledo since 1954 and was a patient at the Marigarde Nursing Home this last year. On Jan. 13 she became ill and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where she passed away the following morning.

Funeral services were held at the Salem Mennonite Church, Dalton, on Jan. 16. Rev. Austin Keiser of Ashland, her former pastor at the Salem church, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. Ben Rahn, now pastor of the church. Burial was made in the Salem Church Cemetery.

Two brothers, Roy of Orrville, O. and Delvin of Dalton, and one sister, Dora, of Bluffton survive.
