MRS. KATIE KINSINGER

Katie Kinsinger, daughter of Jacob and Cathrine [sic Catherine] (Shetler) Miller, was born in Johnson County, Iowa on Oct. 31, 1871; passed away at the Pleasant View Home, Kalona, Iowa on Feb. 24, 1960 at the age of 88 years, three months and 23 days.

She lived on a farm north of Wellman, Iowa for many years. In 1939 she moved to Wellman where she resided until she entered the Pleasant View Home in the fall of 1958. During this time she was in the hospital several times.

She united with the West Union church early in life and later transferred her membership to the Wellman Mennonite church, where she was a consistent and sincere Christian, using the talent she had in praising God in song.

She was married to Ananias Kinsinger Nov. 16, 1891. Her husband preceded her in death in June of 1930. Also two daughters, Barbara Ellen and Katie Luella, two great-grandchildren, six brothers and seven sisters preceded her.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Erlis of Wellman, Norma, Mrs. Urie Swartzendruber of Parnell, Iowa, Orval of Parnell, and Ruth, Mrs. C. E. Cochran of Whittier, Calif; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Fanny, Mrs. Gideon Marner of Wellman; and one brother George J. Miller of Kalona.

Services were held at the Wellman Mennonite church Feb. 26, 1960, in charge of Geo. S. Miller and Max Yoder. Burial was made in the West Union cemetery.
