Long-Time Pastor In Hutchinson Dies at Age 59
Hutchinson, Kan. — Sanford E. King, 59, who served as pastor of a Mennonite congregation here for a number of years, died March 7 at Menorah Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.
Rev. King was a member of the South Hutchinson Mennonite Church. He served as pastor of the congregation before its relocation in South Hutchinson, when it was known as the Pershing Street Church. He was district manager of Waddell-Reed Investment Company here.
Private funeral services were held at a Hutchinson funeral chapel, followed by burial at East Lawn Cemetery, Hesston. A memorial service was conducted Monday afternoon at the Hesston Mennonite Church.
