LITTLE BOY STRANGLES ON FARM GATE IN LANCASTER COUNTY

Leola, Pa. — An accident at the Amos E. King, Jr. farm near here claimed the life of the Kings' two-year-old son, Samuel.

The little boy was standing on a barnyard gate watching his mother mow the lawn when she was called into the house. Less than five minutes later the child's grandfather, Bishop Amos E. King, Sr., found his lifeless body hanging on the gate.

It is believed the boy had put his head betwn the two top boards of the gate, and then his feet slipped off a lower board, causing death by strangulation.
