Mrs. Eunice N. King, wife of W. Harley King, was born near Bluffton, Ohio, the second daughter of Amos and Magadelena [''sic'' Magdalena] Neuenschwander, on Oct. 3, 1900, and passed away in her sleep Oct. 14, 1965 at Newport, Wash. at the age of 65 years and 11 days.

She grew to womanhood in the Bluffton community, attending public school there. In April 1913 she accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized upon her profession of faith and received into the membership of the Ebenezer Mennonite Church near Bluffton.

On Aug. 12, 1926 she was united in marriage with W. Harley King at the Ebenezer Church. together they entered into Christian work, spending one more year at Witmarsum Seminary where her husband had attended several years. To this union was born a daughter, Joyce, who died at birth and a daughter Ethella Mae, now Mrs. Wesley Claassen.

She and her husband shared 39 years and two months together in mission and pastoral work. She assisted her husband in mission work under the Home Mission board near Flagstaff, Ariz. and Ashland, Oregon, and in pastoral work at Albany, Oregon; Colfax, Wash.; Paso Robles, Calif.; Corn, Okla.; Filer, Idaho; and at Hanston, Kansas prior to coming to the Spring Valley Mennonite Church at Newport, Wash. Sept. 15, 1964. She was ever a faithful and hard working companion in the work of the Lord, often times amidst suffering brought on by rheumatoid arthritis, which affected her heart.

She is survived by her husband, who endeavors to carry on without her by God's grace and strength; the daughter, Ethella Mae, three grandchildren, Alan, Loren, and Linda, and her son-in-law, Wesley Claassen, all of Watsonville, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ray Marshall, and two brothers, Hiram and Isaac Neuenschwander all of Bluffton, Ohio, and a brother, Rev. John Neuenschwander, Pickford, Mich. Her parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She loved the Word of God, and the truth of the Lord's imminent return was especially precious to her and her family. The urgency of our mission was constantly before her. It as her suggestion to have a memorial for the Congo literature fund.

Memorial services were held Oct. 18 at the Spring Valley Mennonite Church, Newport, with Rev. Harris Waltner of Ritzville, Wash. presiding. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Pastor's Wife, Former Missionary Dies

Newport, Wash. — Funeral services were held Oct. 18 at the Spring Valley Mennonite Church for Mrs. W. Harley King, 65, whose husband is pastor of the church here. She died unexpectedly in her sleep on Oct. 14.

Mrs. King was the former Eunice Neuenschwander of Bluffton, Ohio. She and her husband shared more than 39 years of mission and pastoral work. After their marriage she assisted him in mission work near Flagstaff, Ariz. and at Ashland, Ore. under the General Conference Home Mission Board. Since then they have served in a number of pastorates, coming here in September 1964.

Surviving in addition to Rev. King are one daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Ethella Mae) Claassen of Watsonville, Calif.; three grandchildren; one sister and two brothers.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Harris Waltner of Ritzville, Wash.
