ISAAC G. KENNEL

Isaac G. Kennel, Atglen, Pa., son of John P. and Magdalena (Glick) Kennel, was born in Lancaster Co., Pa. June 15, 1885. He passed away at the age of 77 years at the Lancaster General Hospital on Jun 21, 1962 after a stroke. He had been ill only a short time and two weeks prior to his death he had been working at Glick's Plant Farm in Smoketown.

On Oct. 26, 1911, he married Priscilla E. Kauffman, who survives. Last year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are two sons: E. Aquila, Earlville, Md., and Elam D., Atglen; two foster daughters, Arlene L. Seitz at the home and Mrs. Robert Russell, New Holland, Pa.; three grandchildren and two brothers, Bishop John A., Sadaburyville [sic Sadsburyville], Pa., and Aaron M. Honey Brook, Pa. Three sons and one daughter preceded him in death.

He was ordained to the ministry while a deacon 40 years ago. He also served as an instructor in winter Bible schools for many years. Some time before his death he still taught a Sunday school class and preached occasionally. He was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Atglen, where funeral services were held June 24. Officiating were Bishop Aaron Stoltzfus, Ora Kurtz, Abner Stoltzfus, Clair Umble and Herman Glick. Over 700 attended the funeral services. Interment as made in the Maple Grove cemetery. — The Family.
