Wayland, Ia. Farmer Dies Unexpectedly

Wayland, Iowa. — This community was saddened and shocked when word came on Friday, Jan. 16, that Lloyd Kempf, 55, well-known farmer, had died at the Washington County Hospital where he had been a patient for only three days.

Funeral services were held at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church on Monday, Jan. 19.

Mr. Kempf is survived by his wife, the former Minnie Krabill; two sons, Earl and Edward; two brothers, Zene, living in Arizona, and Glen in California; and three sisters, Mrs. Laurence J. Miller, Mrs. Milo Miller of Kalona and Mrs. Chester L. Miller of Wellman. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Kempf, preceded him in death.
