EMIL KELLER
Emil Keller, son of John and Anna (Ulrich) Keller, Sr., was born at Eureka, Ill., Sept 10, 1901, and died at Williams County Hospital, Montpelier, Ohio, aged 80 years. On Apr. 6, 1923 he married Anna Roth, who passed away Sept. 6, 1976.
He was the retired co-owner-operator of John Keller & Sons Sand & Gravel Co., Eureka, as well as water supervisor of the Eureka Water Department. The last 14 years he made his home with a daughter in West Unity, Ohio.
Surviving are one son, Robert of Anaheim, Calif.; three daughters, Dorothy (Mrs. George) Unger of Morton, Ill., Carol (Mrs. Bruce) Jones of Sedan, Kan. and Joanne (Mrs. Lenin) Rivera of West Unity, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and two sisters. Two sons, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
He was a member of Salem Mennonite Church, Waldron, Mich. A memorial service was held at the Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier, Ohio on July 14, 1982. Before transferring his membership to the Salem Mennonite Church, he was a member of the Roanoke Mennonite Church, Eureka, Ill., where another memorial service was held July 16. Brad Faler, Earl Stuckey, James Detweiler, and Robert Harnish officiated at the two services. Interment was in the Roanoke Mennonite Church cemetery.
