LITTLE GIRL FATALLY INJURED, MOTHER HURT WHEN HIT BY CAR

Hazelton, Iowa. — Funeral services were held in the Amish settlement near here Aug. 19 for three-year-old Malinda Kaufman, youngest child of Dan and Lydia (Miller) Kaufman who was a victim of a traffic accident in Waterloo.

The little girl was being carried by her mother after receiving treatment at a doctor's office when they were hit by a car at a street crossing. Mrs. Kaufman was critically injured and underwent surgery for removal of a blood clot on the brain. Her daughter died five hours after the accident.
