| + | — Word was received here that Alfred J. Kaufman, 82, retired farmer and lifetime resident of the Pretty Prairie community, died May 23 at Kingman Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kaufman was the father of Rev. Waldo Kaufman of Freeman, S. D. and formerly of Newton, and of Mrs. Harvey Albrecht and Mrs. Fred A. Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie. Also surviving are his widow, Emma, five sisters, two brothers, seven grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Pretty Prairie Mennonite Church, with Rev. Ben Rahn in charge. |
